1. Open/make an icon. Go to Layer > New adjustment Layer > Curves.
RGB:
Output: 120, Input: 85<br>
Red:
Output: 7, Input 40
Green:
Output: 20, Input 40
Blue:
Output: 80, Input 85

2. Go to Layer > New adjustment Layer > Selective Color.
Reds:
-53, 75, 100, -47
Yellows:
100, 5, 0, 0
Whites:
100, -32, 0, 0

3. Go to Layer > New adjustment Layer > Selective Color.
Reds:
0, 48, 45, -45

4. Go to Layer > New adjustment Layer > Color Balance.
Color Levels:
0, 50, -70

1. Duplicate the icon. Layer > Duplicate Layer. Set it to Screen 100%.

2. Make a new layer. Layer > New > Layer. Fill it with 000537 and set it to Exclusion 60%.

3. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color.
Red:
+100, +35, +100, 0<br>
Yellows:
+30, 0, 0, 0

If you want to second coloring, do this, and not the one above.
3. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color.
Red:
+100, +100, 0, 0<br>
Yellows:
+30, 0, 0, 0

1. Duplicate the icon. Layer > Duplicate Layer. Set it to Screen 50%.

2. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color.
Red:
+100, 0, +100, 0<br>
Yellows:
+100, 0, +100, +100
Whites:
0, 0, 0, +50
Blacks:
0, 0, 0, +25

3. Make a new layer. Layer > New > Layer. Fill it with ffab60 and set it to Color Burn 25%.

4. Make a new layer. Fill it with ffa8ea and set it to Color Burn 30%.

1. Open a new image. Crop it down to 100x100.

2. Duplicate the icon. Layer > Duplicate layer. Set it to Screen 100%.

3. Go to Layer > New adjustment layer > Selective Color.
Do your settings like this:
Reds:
-80, +20, +100, +40
Blacks:
0, 0, 0, +20

4. Make a new layer. Layer > New > Layer. Fill it with #00223c. Set it to Color Dodge 50%.

5. Make a new layer. Fill it with #d3ecff. Set it to Color Burn 100%

I don`t understand all this things with LiveJournal yet. I want to add my own CSS and layout, but I have no idea how. Wish me good luck :D

Before: After:

1. Open a picture. I`ll be using this one of Ana Lucia from Lost.

2. Crop it down to an icon.

3. Duplicate the layer. Layers > duplicate. Set it to Screen 30-50%.

4. Go to layers > New adjustment layer > Channel mixer.
Do the settings like this:
Red:
Red: 80, Green: 35, Blue 3, Constant -37
Green
Red: 0, Green 100, Blue 0, Constant 0
Blue
Red: 0, Green 0, Blue 100, Constant 0

5. Duplicate the base layer (the icon) and drag it to the top. Set it to Soft Light 100%.

6. Make a new raster layer. Layers > new raster layer. Fill it with #ffb5f4 and set it to Soft light.

7. Go to layers > New adjustment layer > Color Balance.
Do the settings like this:
Color levels: 10, -10, -60

8. Copy and paste this texture (made by me).
Set it to screen 100%.
